I'm not so good colour myself but I think those look really awesome!*sigh*... now I'm depressed. =P Too many good people. T_T
Those are really neat practice pieces. All in one short week? Dayum.*feels totally unproductive*
Thanks Althea and Ciaee. I've added your blogs to my RSS feed and am keeping tabs on you both! Some took ages to do... others went really quickly. one day I did 10!... the next only 3. :PIt took a while to figure out what I was doing and understanding what I was seeing in the reference; colour temperature, contrast over distance, glow effects etc... I'm glad i pushed through them though.
This looks very good. did you use photo refrence? I love those little painting.I find it really help to start b/w first.get the contrast right seems so important.
Looks very nice. Like Ciaee said, I feel unproductive after looking at your work. One critique would be to play with the saturation of color a little more. Raise it in areas of light and lower it in areas of of shadow. Very good work.
